Komáromy Gábor Sholarship

Cook Communications and Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) are announcing a scholarship in memory of Gábor Komáromy for the 2015/2016 academic year. Cook Communications is a full-service PR agency with offices in Budapest, Prague, Sofia, Bucharest and Warsaw. The Gábor Komáromy Scholarship was founded in 2010 by Cook Communications and MCC, encouraging a critical approach to the media and helping practice-oriented journalism training.

The application is open to all full-time university or college students, regardless of field of study. The financial support offered under the scholarship amounts to a total of € 1,200, of which the winner will receive a scholarship of € 900. The winner gets mentoring from an experienced journalist with an international background, and admission to the MCC specialised training program in media/communication. The MCC Komáromy Gábor Media Library receives 300 euros for the purchase of books and journals.

The successful applicant must prepare a series of articles in a minimum of three parts by a specified deadline, in Hungarian and English, which may be published in the Hungarian and international media.
