Marcel Luthe, born on 31 August 1977 in Bottrop, is a German politician, trade unionist and economist. Since his student days he was a member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP), which he left in 2020. He was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 2016 to 2021, where he was considered the "undisputed enquiry king", having initiated more than 2773 parliamentary enquiries during the term. After the mishaps and scandals during the elections to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2021, Luthe brought forward complaint before the Berlin Constitutional Court. Since February 2022, Luthe has been chair of the Good Governance Trade Union, which he founded.
