Prof. Dr Andreas Rödder is Professor of Modern History at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. He was born in Wissen/Sieg on 11 July 1967. Rödder's expertise covers diverse topics in modern and contemporary history, including the history of European conservatism and changing values in modernity and postmodernity. Since 2021, he has been director of the conservative think tank Republik21. Visiting professorships have taken him to Boston, Massachusetts, and London, and most recently to the Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C., in 2022/2023. With his book Konservativ 21.0: Eine Agenda für Deutschland (Conservative 21.0: An Agenda for Germany), Rödder presented a much-acclaimed manifesto for liberal conservatism, which was translated into Hungarian by the MCC’s publishing house, MCC Press.
