Our Ambassador Talks series continues in 2022, with H. E. Pascal Andréani, Ambassador of the French Republic to Hungary, as our guest at the season opening event.
Our students had a fascinating discussion about the prospects of the French presidency of the European Council, divisive political-philosophical issues and the meaning of the term "European value".
Andréani said, among other things, that he is always shocked at the extent to which Hungary's foreign media coverage does not reflect reality. In his view, the French do not understand the Hungarians, and the Hungarians do not understand the French either, which is why it is important to get to know each other and to engage in dialogue on sensitive issues.
