As a guest of our MCC Lunch Talks series, Dr. Gadi Taub, Israeli publicist, historian, lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and MCC Visiting Fellow, gave a presentation on how the Israeli Supreme Court became an Uber-Government.
The lecture shed light on what drives Israeli legislation, and the Israeli historian also spoke about the issues of judicial independence. A number of actual cases gave the audience an insight into how Israeli legislation and the Supreme Court works and how it differs from the Hungarian and American systems. Gadi Taub also shared his views on globalism and how his concept of meaning is different from Jordan Peterson's meaning of life.
The purpose of the MCC Lunch Talks event series is to give MCC lecturers, guest lecturers and students the opportunity to discuss their academic work and research results.
