Applications are now open for the international training courses organized by the Roger Scruton Legacy Foundation at the University of Oxford. The Scrutopia Summer Program and The Oxford Seminar offer MCC students a unique opportunity to learn from some of the world's most renowned professors. The international networking of Mathias Corvinus Collegium offers students the opportunity to apply for prestigious UK scholarship programs, as part of a partnership between MCC and the Roger Scruton Legacy Foundation.
Students are already applying for the Scrutopia summer university program. The course will take place in and around Sir Roger Scruton's former home near Malmesbury in the Cotswolds, UK, from 21 to 28 July. The scholarship program offers a seven-day immersion experience in the philosophy and ideas of the British writer and philosopher Sir Roger Scruton. Students will participate in a philosophy course where they will deepen their knowledge through engaging lectures. The sessions will cover topics such as the nature of philosophy, beauty, as well as the arts, home and belonging, and the problem of fading traditions. The daily philosophy classes are enriched by visits to nearby historical sites.
Another option is the Oxford Seminar, a five-day intensive scholarship program. Its aim is to introduce students to the philosophical thought of Sir Roger Scruton. This year is the first time that MCC students can participate in this unique program. The scholarship program provides an excellent opportunity for a small group of students from the UK, the US and Europe to learn from some of the world's most renowned professors and engage in discussions with like-minded peers.
MCC continues to build its international network: in addition to its agreement with The Roger Scruton Legacy Foundation, the institution opened a training site in Brussels last autumn, where students can get first-hand experience of the workings of the European Union. And just a few weeks ago, MCC entered into a close partnership with ESMT Berlin, which will allow more than 20 MCC students a year to study on scholarships at Germany's top-ranked business school. And Mathias Corvinus Collegium will soon reach another milestone.
