As part of MCC’s Visiting Fellowship Program, Professor Lee J. Strang visited the Constitutional Court on 12 May 2021.
As part of his visit, he was engaged in a professional discussion with the President and justices regarding the differences and similarities between Hungarian and American constitutional adjudication, the history of the Hungarian model, as well as touching upon several questions of constitutional interpretation, among others the role and function of the achievements of the historical constitution. In the second part of the program, Professor Strang introduced the colleagues of the Court to the so-called originalist school of American constitutional interpretation through cases in an online lecture.
