The world-renowned Canadian clinical psychologist Professor Dr. Jordan B. Peterson is visiting our country. Co-organized by Mathias Corvinus Collegium, the exclusive lecture will take place on May 9, 2023 at the Papp László Sports Arena.
A highly quoted clinical psychologist, Dr Peterson has become one of the most important and best-known conservative thinkers of recent years, with over 6.5 million followers on his YouTube channel and his world-famous The Jordan B Peterson Podcast consistently topping the iTunes charts with over 55 million downloads. He came to the spotlight when he confronted a new Canadian law at his university that requires people with gender identity disorder to be called by their chosen gender. He has subsequently been outspoken about his conservative views on a number of public issues.
In collaboration with students and colleagues at Harvard and the University of Toronto, he has published over a hundred academic articles that have radically changed our modern understanding of personality, while his book Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief revolutionized the psychology of religion. His next book, 12 Rules for Life: How to Avoid Chaos, was published in 2018 and has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. The sequel to The 12 Rules, Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life, was published in March 2021.
The Canadian professor, clinical psychologist and speaker has changed the minds of millions of people in a short space of time and has fans all over the world. Jordan B. Peterson has lectured on mythology to lawyers, doctors and businessmen, been a consultant to the UN Secretary General, helped clients with their depression, OCD, anxiety and schizophrenia, worked as a consultant to major Canadian law firms and lectured widely in North America and Europe. During his first visit to Hungary, he was interviewed by Mandiner.
