Pier Paolo Pigozzi is Vice-rector for International Affairs of the Ludovika University of Public Service. He is a JSD candidate at Notre Dame Law School. He earned his LL.B from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in 2006 and his LL.M. in International Human Rights Law, magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School in 2010. He specializes in the Latin American Constitutional tradition, with Paolo Carozza as his advisor. Before attending Notre Dame, he clerked for the Ecuadorian Constitutional Court in 2009 and worked with refugees in various capacities at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (2008-2009) and the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2008). During this time, he conducted workshops on international refugee law, human rights, and constitutional law. He also served as an adjunct professor of Constitutional Law at the Pontifical Catholic University in Ibarra in 2009 and has recently taught a summer course on International Jurisprudence at Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar in Quito.
