Music as a prescription: examining the intersection of music and well-being with Angelica Postu. Not only has Angelica studied the profession of music therapy in several countries and institutions gaining international experience from Austria to Belgium and Germany, she also took it upon herself to contribute to founding the Music Therapy Association of Romania -- an organization of which she is the current chairman. She has made it her mission to introduce music therapy to Romania by both seeking to establish it as an officially recognized profession, resource, and educational course. She also pursues research in Ethnographic music therapy in Romania. Aside from these efforts in her home country, she currently works as a Music Therapist at Charité Universitätsmedizin (University Clinic) Berlin. One of her main fields of work includes Acute Psychiatry with adults and elderly. In a broader context, the event will examine youth attitudes to classical music genres based on research data and practical experience.
